What do you call it when kindnesses and possibility converge?
Sweet synchronicity. At least that’s what I call it when friends (and spirit guides) nudged me to the warmth of Arizona. Here’s one recent tale of such divine timing that inspired creative action and resulted in supportive nurturing.
First, I got a surprise call from a retired teacher friend, John, who kindly phoned me while he was hiking the hills near Sedona. “Oh, that’s sweet,” I thought and then didn’t think much more of it. Then a postcard came from him. Then, at a potluck dinner, a different friend mentioned her upcoming trip to AZ and asked if anyone would like to go. What?!
Well, maybe I would! That night, as I often do as a practice with the new moon, I picked a card from my Sacred Path deck. There it was. #16: Power Place: Earth-Connections/Empowerment. Another hint that AZ could happen for me, and a call to clarity that what I really longed for was to sit on a warm rock. What better place to do that than Red Rock Canyon??
The next day, still wondering whether or not I should even entertain the idea, I read the chapter for that week in the Artist’s Way. Wouldn’t you know it? The reading centered on possibility! I texted my friend, we talked again, and I booked my flight. Yippee! Immediately I felt re-energized, and noticed my creative energies shift up as I made re-arrangements to be able to go. Within a week, my friend and I were walking warm earthen paths in the sunny Sedona hills, perhaps precisely where my other friend had dialed my number to share his experience of the vortex energy he found so inspiring.
Sometimes Mother Earth calls to us. And sometimes she asks our friends to relay that message.
So, let’s pay attention. Whether you answer the call or share the invitation of possibility, our human-connections and Earth-connections can be abundantly generous for empowerment.
Synch on!
Hey there, so fun to read of your sychronistic call and answer! Wonder if you were hiking with our lovely friend, John?? Lucky you!
Hey, Nenette! John wasn’t my hiking buddy for the trip, but he is the kind soul who called me to share the energy vortex vibe. So inspiring!
