Ten beautiful creatives in one selfie! Together we are venturing through one of Julia Cameron’s books that I find particularly helpful for practicing artists entitled Walking in This World. Let me tell you a little about the stories that unfold.
Each woman brings her own goals and intentions, and we trust that the timing is just right for us to be gathering weekly to check in with one another. First, I can tell you that this is neither a boo-hoo nor woo-woo fest. It’s not about commiserating or cheer leading or even problem solving.
The space I co-create and hold for us is one of safe, courageous listening and voicing of our true experiences and insights. Collectively, we witness each other on our unique, personal and blessed creative journeys.
And we learn so much from each other!
In some way or another, each of us is in transition. Getting close to retirement, looking for a new home, beginning a marriage, seeking fulfilling work, reflecting on life priorities… and it all calls upon our creative truth, energy, integrity and levity. All graduates of taking the Artist’s Way class with me (often multiple rounds), this next-level course has resulted in deepening and affirming the spiritual practices and tools offered in The Artist’s Way. Please consider treating yourself to the AW course as well.
I wish I could really describe and explain the healthy synergy and support we experience.
But then again, maybe you can see it in our faces.
